Kroger has promoted Mike Goodwin, currently vice president of operations for the Fred Meyer Division, to president of its Central Division, effective April 1, 2026. Goodwin will oversee stores from northwestern Ohio to southeastern Missouri, including operations in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Ohio, succeeding Colleen Juergensen who is retiring after 45 years with Kroger. Prior to joining Kroger in 2022, Goodwin worked for Albertsons for 30 years, most recently as vice president of operations for the Southwest Division. The appointment is the latest in a series of divisional leadership changes at Kroger as the company prepares to name a new CEO in the first quarter of 2026.
